Exit airport and turn right on University Parkway. Proceed approx 300 yards, turn left on US41. Continue on US41 South for about 4 miles, turn right on Gulfstream Avenue (789 North). The road changes its name to the John Ringling Blvd. Follow to St. Armand's Circle. Proceed 1/4 of the way around the circle (staying in the right hand lane) turning on to 789 West towards Longboat Key. The Colony is approximately 3 miles down 789 West on the left hand side of the road. Go through the Guard Gate and continue to the right you will make a half circle until you reach the high-rise building. The check-in desk is in the lobby of the high-rise building.
Exit Tampa Airport and follow directions to I-275 south to St. Petersburg. Take I-275 South for about 35 miles until you merge with I-75. Proceed south on I-75 to Fruitville Road exit 39 (new exit #210). Take Fruitville Road to the west for approximately 6 miles to US Highway 41 South. Turn left and proceed one block to Gulfstream Avenue (789 North). Turn right onto Gulfstream Ave. Proceed to the large traffic circle at St. Armand's Circle. Proceed 1/4 of the way around the circle (staying in the right hand lane) turning on to 789 West towards Longboat Key. The Colony is approximately 3 miles down 789 West on the left hand side of the road. Go through the Guard Gate and continue to the right you will make a half circle until you reach the high-rise building. The check-in desk is in the lobby of the high-rise building.
The Colony on Longboat Key is an island resort that's easy to find. We are just off the coast of Sarasota, on the central west coast, just south of the Tampa Bay area. If you're driving, Sarasota is easily reached from either 1-75 or US 41. If you're flying, The Colony is just 9 miles from the Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport, 72 miles from Tampa International Airport.
