The Inn on Winter s Hill is a classic Georgian Revival Mansion designed by the Stanley Steam Car brothers in 1895 & fully restored in 1990. The Inn features both luxury & superior accommodations w/ classic New England Inn luxury in the historic main house & more modern hotel type accommodations in the Inn s new section the Barn . Located in the heart of the Western Maine Mountains in the quaint New England Village of Kingfield, the Inn is the perfect year round location to get away from it all & appreciate a wide range of outside activities. Downhill ski or snowboard at Sugarloaf/USA, cross-country ski or snowmobile from the Inn s door, hike the appalachian trail or climb to the top of a mountain, bike both on & off road, fly fish in the rivers or lakes or play golf at Sugarloaf s PGA rated golf course it s all at your door. Indoor & outside swimming pools, clay tennis court, hot tub, exercise equipment, a casual lounge w/ a pool table & bar & exquisite fine eating at Julia s dining place ensure that our visitors appreciate their vacation far from the crowds & cares of the everyday world. If for any reason you must cancel your reservation, we will gladly refund your deposit, less a $15.00 for a room, cancellation fee, w/ at least 30 days notice during our peak season, June 1- Oct 31 & fourteen days notice for the balance of the year. If you need to cancel your reservation for any reason inside the cancellation period, the balance of your visit will be processed at the time of cancellation & we will refund the charges, less a $15.00 for a room cancellation fee only if we are able to resell all the rooms over the entire reserved period. Because of our firm cancellation policy, we do recommend Travelex Travel Insurance. Our gracious & knowledgeable employees will make your visit truly unique and memorable. Superior Double:
Our Superior Double rooms are located in the Inns new section The Barn which is a replica of the original turnofthecentury barn specifically designed and built for guest rooms. The Barn is connected to the Main House by our Lounge area. Superior double rooms have two full size beds each of which can comfortably sleep two adults and have been furnished to maintain the ambiance of the Inn. All rooms have Cable TV Phone and private baths and wireless high speed internet. Rooms in the Barn are more modern Hotel type rooms.
Superior Queen:
Our Superior Queen rooms are located in the Inns new section The Barn which is a replica of the original turnofthecentury barn specifically designed and built for guest rooms. The Barn is connected to the Main House by our Lounge area. Superior queen rooms have a Queen size bed and have been furnished to maintain the ambiance of the Inn. Luxury King:
Traditional New England Inn elegance in the Historic Mansion. Rooms have a King size bed are furnished with antiques and have Cable TV Phone private baths coffee makers and robes. These four rooms on the second floor of the Main House have their own sitting area and offer the quiet and pace of a time past.
