The Emerson is situated in the quiet residential neighborhood of Pigeon Cove, approximately 2 miles north of the picturesque village of Rockport-just 35 miles north of Boston. We offer 36 smoke-free visitor rooms, a lot of w/ magnificent ocean vistas, & an ocean view cottage that are graciously appointed w/ period furnishings, private baths, cable T.V., telephones, web access & individually controlled heat & air conditioning. For the more relaxing retreat, there's the option of an afternoon at the local day spa for a facial or massage. Although we do not offer an elevator, Two or our rooms are situated on the main level of the inn & are accessible by wheelchair ramp. Where 19th century charm meets 21st century features & comfort...The Emerson Inn by the Sea is a classic, New England, turn-of-the-century hotel situated on the ocean at Pigeon Cove. The Grand Cafe is open all year; however, days & hours of service vary by season. All rates include our country inn breakfast-a full, hot breakfast(May-October), or a deluxe continental breakfast(November-April). It sits just 100 yards from the Atlantic Ocean & commands a magnificent view of the sea & the rocky coast.
