The island provides visitors w/ a variety of activities, as well. There is wonderful shopping & eating at Freshfields Shopping Village, just off the island. All linens except beach towels are provided &, in most properties, a washer/dryer. Furnished decks or screened porches face the wooded groves, peaceful lagoons, tranquil marshes, legendary golf courses, or Atlantic Ocean. The ever-changing salt marshes harbor a variety of wildfowl & create an exquisitely balanced ecosystem that helps the island thrive. All properties offer completely furnished living & eating locations, fully equipped kitchens including cookware, silverware & dishes. The Angel Oak, perhaps the oldest living thing east of the Mississippi, is a quick car ride away. Within a short ride, visitors can participate in wine tastings or visit the only Tea Plantation in America. Guests can appreciate over 30 miles of biking & hiking trails, glide through the waters on a kayak, appreciate a dolphin-watching cruise, or play any of the four golf courses on the island, as well as several other local courses. Our comfortable villas are between 25 to 500 yards from the beach. The Bohicket Marina on neighboring Seabrook Island has shopping & eating, & several water tours leave from the docks. The lush maritime forest, which lies just beyond the delicate sand dunes, is a haven for wildlife, & heron, deer & other animals roam the island. Downtown Charleston features shopping, eating, art, music, dance & theatre only 45 minutes from Seabrook Island. Kiawah Island features 10,000 acres of beauty. Bedding varies, but most properties offer a queen bed in the master bedroom & either Two twin beds or a queen bed in subsequent bedrooms. Amenities include color cable T.V & VCR or DVD player, telephone, microwave, & central heating & air conditioning. There are 10 miles of pristine beach, perfect for shelling, swimming, or just relaxing. Non-smoking properties are available upon request.
