Our 8 visitor rooms offer been tastefully decorated to recreate the past, while maintaining modern comforts. We feature a variety of homemade baked goods, fresh fruit platters, cereals, waffles, French toast, quiches, java, tea, & juices. Ideally situated in central Vermont, the Inn at Rutland is only 15 minutes from Pico & Killington ski locations, & is a perfect base for touring all of the Green Mountain State & its wealth of year-round activities. Our rocking chair front porch provides a magnificent view of the sunset over the town & mountains. All rooms offer a Victorian feel, carefully created w/ period reproductions & antiques. The interior is rich w/ period architectural details, such as the warm leather wainscoting in the eating room, to the leaded glass window over the formal grand staircase. The authentic carriage house in addition provides secure storage for your bicycles & all your ski equipment. The Inn at Rutland is a distinctive Victorian mansion built in 1889 by William F Burditt which has been carefully restored to its original elegant charm. The Rutland region combines a vibrant shopping & business district. A delicious gourmet three-course morning meal is in addition included w/ your lodging. The Two common rooms offer a comfortable atmosphere for reading, relaxing or just a quiet conversation sitting by the hearth. Each unique room offers a private bathroom, remote color cable Television, & direct-dial telephone.
